Testimonials for Tracy Franklin, Muddy Puddles Dorset, The Blandford Dog Walker

Tracy has been animal mad all her life.  I remember one Christmas when she was about 6 years old, she was so excited about the big box under the tree with her name on it – she was convinced there was a puppy inside.  You have never seen a more disappointed face on a little girl when she opened the box to find it was a Girl’s World, I believe she actually cried!  On Christmas Day!  She REALLY wanted that puppy!  Tracy pestered for a dog and pestered for a horse, and she still has both in her life now.  Since leaving home all of Tracy’s dogs have been rescues, Bradley left us when he was 16 and devastatingly we lost Snoopy Saluki to cancer when he was just 7. Young Luli is fast becoming Tracy’s new old faithful.  Ellie, her retired eventer, has been with her for 12 years and, even when Ellie couldn’t be ridden during the indefinite recuperation period from an injury, Tracy never gave up on her.  You would be hard pressed to find someone more passionate about animals than Tracy.  She calls her animals her ‘children’.  I think that sums it up beautifully!

Tracy is a consummate professional.  Hard-working and always reliable, she takes her responsibilities very seriously.  I would recommend her highly to anyone as someone they will be able to trust with their animals and their home.  Tracy faces any challenge intelligently and takes things in her usual level-headed stride no matter how pressurised the situation gets.  I have employed Tracy more than once and always find her helpful, cheerful, she loves the animals and she is very resourceful.   Jo Minnaar, Owner, Countryside Marketing

Testimonials for Muddy Puddles Dorset services

So grateful for Muddy Puddles…. Saved my bacon when my lurcher started getting severe separation anxiety and trying to escape from every lovely house he was left in while I was at work. He was so happy to be walked with Snoopy Saluki and run off all his worries… I really couldn’t have asked for anyone more flexible, helpful and caring to look after my naughty little boy!

It wasn’t easy to leave our puppy Nellie for the first time but after meeting Tracy from Muddy Puddles Dorset we knew she’d be in good hands. That was nearly 4 years ago now and Nellie has been having regular walks with Tracy (Aunty Muddy) and Snoopy ever since. We trust her completely as we know that Nellie will always be loved and well looked after on her walks with her friends and come home happy and well exercised. We love hearing all about what she gets up to and who she’s been bouncing with in a text from Tracy at the end of the day. Nellie loves Tracy (waggy tail always gives it away) and so do we!

Nicki, Nellie Foxy Terrier’s mum.  Blandford, Dorset.

I would like everyone to know what an amazing service Muddy Puddles Dorset provides.  Our dog Dexter, although a proper sweetheart, can be a bit nervous of new dogs.  Tracy at Muddy Puddles Dorset took everything in her stride and by providing daily texts and photos of Dexter with his new chums having a fabulous time, gave us such reassurance, and Dexter has grown in confidence too.  Tracy is a genuine lady who puts the dogs at the heart of everything.  I would absolutely recommend.

Thank you so much for looking after Hicks while we were away. Hicks looks like he enjoyed himself, and we had a great time.  It was just really nice knowing someone was looking after my horse and not worrying about him the whole time.  Many thanks.

I was delighted with Tracy from Muddy Puddles Dorset’s stay at our house when we went on holiday. She played with, entertained and cuddled my very high maintenance rescue cat for two weeks and he tells me it was all to a very high standard! Tracy from Muddy Puddles Dorset is honest, professional and reliable and I would not hesitate to use her services in the future. Highly recommended.

Lou, Ted Cat’s mum.  Near Blandford, Dorset.

I work full time but  I never have to worry about George, my black lab, as I know he always has a great time with Tracy.  Tracy collects him every day and he always comes home exhausted but happy having cavorted around the countryside with other dogs in Tracy’s care with her work in Muddy Puddles Dorset.  George always looks forward to Tracy’s visit and cannot thank her enough for all her hard work in exhausting George every single day!

Well we’d decided not to take Cat to a cattery when we went away for a weekend and I checked out pet sitting services at our vet.  I had a look at Tracy’s website and thought “hmm, she sounds good fun, I’ll give her a call”.  From the minute I met her I was impressed with her professionalism and love of animals.  Unfortunately, Cat wasn’t home to meet her that day but I knew he’d like her.  He now treats her as one of the family and is happy that she treats him the same as we do.  I was worried about him going out while we were away but he always comes home knowing Tracy will be there to be his friend.   No more catteries for Cat, home visits from Tracy every time!

My husband works away in London a lot and I join him there most weekends.  Tracy looks after our lovely home, our lovely chickens and our lovely horses while we are away and does a great job.  She walks the dogs during the week for us too, she really is a god-send!  Tracy has become a good friend and one I trust implicitly with my home and my animals.

My old dog loves Tracy.  He actually gets off his chair to greet her when she comes in the door, and he doesn’t get off his chair for many people!  Tim is now 14 and he is a terrier.  He can still have a short walk around the block but when he can’t do that, Tracy will stay in the house and keep him company for an hour or so while we are at work.  Tracy has the knack of being able to suss Tim’s mood and Tim loves her for it.

Brilliant.  Tracy from Muddy Puddles Dorset came to play again today!   We played fetch with my pink rope and my blue spoon.  Tracy’s not sure the blue plastic spoon belongs to me  but I assured her I was allowed to play with it and that mummy wouldn’t mind.   When Tracy cuddles me I like to chew her hair.  She says this is preferable to me chewing her shoes as when she changed them (Tracy had to be somewhere posh today afterwards) I took one of her trainers to my bed with me.  I got bored with that so came back for the other one. Tracy called me a monkey as she retrieved both from my cage. I must ask mummy what a monkey is, exactly.   Tracy and I sat and had a cuddle in the kitchen before she left.  I was very tired.  I remember Tracy typing an email to mummy in her phone saying that I was being good so I must be tired.  That was the last thing I remember for next thing I know Tracy had put me back in my cage where I promptly fell back to sleep again and dreamt of a land of shoes that could be chewed and chewed and nobody minded……

Today Bobby from Muddy Puddles Dorset came to play.  It was pouring with rain but I didn’t mind, I spend most of my time in the river when I go out with Bobby so a bit of water never put me off my walks!   We headed off for the Milldown where Bobby used her learning of Amichien Bonding to continue with teaching me good lead manners.  I think I adapted VERY well as had lots of praise and cuddles but I didn’t care much for the treats Bobby had brought.  The thunder worried me slightly but Bobby’s confidence rubbed off on me and I trotted along nicely.  The rain however was TERRIBLE and Bobby was soaked – I don’t know why she  didn’t shake?! Thankfully Bobby had brought a towel with her so I got a lovely rub down on my return.

My mum was on holiday and left me in the care of  Tracy from Muddy Puddles Dorset.  I’m glad she did, I had so many carrots in my feed every morning and every night it was hard to miss my mum for long!  It was desperately hot so Tracy made sure my water was topped up every day and that I was snug and cool under my bug rug and fly mask.  Tracy brought me in from the field each morning and each evening to give me a groom and give me my medication.  And lots of carrots!  I love carrots!  I also loved the sponge baths Tracy gave me to cool me down, they were magical and I would lift my legs out of the way when Tracy did my tummy.  I hope Tracy can come and look after me again soon!

It was very early in the morning when Tracy from Muddy Puddles Dorset and Snoopy arrived and I said goodbye to mum and dad.   Later that day Tracy took us for a ride in her car.  I snuggled in the back with Snoopy and jumped out half an hour later to play ball in a big field.   Tracy would launch the ball and with a squawk I would shout at Snoopy to leave it alone as I chased after it with all my might, trying to get to it before Snoopy had the chance to steal it.   When we got home that evening Snoopy crashed on the floor while I crashed on the sofa beside  Tracy.  I had a lovely sleep and couldn’t believe it when Tracy woke me up and said she was going to bed.   I didn’t want to leave her on her own, this was her first night in my house and it was only fair that I looked after her.  So  I was really pleased when Tracy brought my bed into her room.  I could keep a proper eye on her from under my blanket.  We played all day the next day and flaked out when we got home.  I was on the garden chair next to Tracy when I heard mum and dad’s car pull up.  I flew through the house to wait by the door to greet them.  I couldn’t wait to tell them about my busy weekend with Tracy and how much fun we’d had!

I wasn’t in when Tracy came to visit on Saturday evening.  She let herself into my house and turned on lights, closed curtains and sat in the lounge by the French windows and waited for me to arrive.  I didn’t arrive.   But I know Tracy did all this as, when she came back a couple of hours later, I ran to greet her and she told me all about her earlier adventures. I just can’t believe she went into my house!  Without me!  How rude! But I couldn’t be cross for long as it was warm and there was food.  Always a good thing.  The next morning  Tracy let me out while she went about turning off lights and opening curtains. It was then I spied Snoopy, Tracy’s dog,  sitting in Tracy’s car so I thought I would say hello to him.    Snoopy started to bark at me and he got louder and louder.  I was fascinated.  I kept right on looking at him through the windscreen.  And he kept right on barking at me.  And then Tracy came out of the house, pulled me off the car, and took me inside.  She muttered something about disturbing the neighbours.  We had some cuddles on the sofa but I wouldn’t settle, I still wanted to go out.  So Tracy let me out the back while she high tailed it to the front door to get to her car before I did.

I am a rescue boy and was very nervous and anxious around new people but I fell in love with Aunty Muddy (this is what we all call Tracy from Muddy Puddles Dorset – Aunty Muddy) the very first time I saw her.   She knew exactly how to treat me and pat me without invading my space and I trusted her immediately.  Now whenever Mum is working Aunty Muddy takes me out usually with Snoopy and I love Snoopy he doesn’t mind me bouncing him and he runs very fast and I try to catch up all the time!  I would recommend Aunty Muddy to any dog she really loves us and takes care of us and my Mum heads off to work without a worry knowing I am being looked after – which is amazing as she doesn’t trust just anyone to look after me!
